Indigestion
Indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux. No matter what word you use you will be referring to discomfort, usually after eating, that can range from a mild condition to severe pain. It should not be ignored.
If you are a sufferer from acid reflux (gerd) or you know someone who is, you will find information in these web pages that will help you to at least ease the problem. You should not, however, use this website as a subsitute for professional advice, particularly if your indigestion symptoms are severe.
As a chef I am very aware of the foods, and the combinations of foods, which can trigger heartburn even in those who have a 'normal' digestive tract. So adding this website to a group of others dealing primarily with cooking and nutrition seemed a natural thing to do.
I hope you find it useful. Several of the articles are from outside contributers, many of whom have first-hand experience of severe gerd symptoms, or have made a study of the condition for one reason or another. There are also other links throughout the site which will lead you to even more information on the same and similar subjects.
In building this website I've tried to provide a comprehensive guide with enough information on indigestion and heartburn to help you decide what further action you need to take, whether your preference is for natural acid reflux remedies or professional medical advice.
